“Thought Map” is a fictional, three dimensional “map” of a brief second of the thought process. At the time I was preoccupied with how quickly and complexly one thing can lead to another. I wanted to slow down the frenzied activity of chain reaction thought and show the connective and explosive quality of things. The organic fabric shapes, connected with tubular arms, were hung from the ceiling in a cascading pattern. They created a tension between micro and macro scale, resembling everything from clouds to brain synapses.
