In this piece human scale and gesture give personality to this pair of organic abstract shapes. A stretched velour skin opens to reveal quilted interiors that host a variety of smaller forms sprouting stiff black hairs. By exposing surprising details while using familiar and tactile material I create an experience that is intimate. “Untitled” addresses a range of contradictions including male/female, natural/artificial, and attraction/aversion.
